"The Road Goes Ever On" © 2004 David Frazier

The Road goes ever on and on
Down from the door where it began.
Now far ahead the Road has gone,
And I must follow, if I can,
Pursuing it with weary feet,
Until it joins some larger way,
Where many paths and errands meet.
And whither then? I cannot say.

(From The Lord of the Rings by J.R.R. Tolkien)

I had Tolkien's poem in mind when I shot and titled this picture. This particular portion of it has great meaning in my life at the moment.

A friend of mind saw this photo and was inspired to write this poem:
The Road Goes Ever On
